Jacob, born and raised in Nottingham, studied at Trinity Catholic School in Aspley. From their wide range of musical opportunities, he developed a passion for musical theatre, and went on to train at Trinity Laban Conservatoire in Greenwich, London. Whilst studying there, in 2020, he appeared on the BBC One, primetime competition, Little Mix: The Search, going on to win the programme with his band, Since September.
In between this, and supporting Little Mix on their UK arena tour, Jacob appeared in Heathers The Musical at The Other Palace as JD. Since then, Jacob has appeared in multiple musicals including the European premiere of Rodgers and Hammerstein's Cinderella, Dreamboats and Petticoats UK Tour, and he reprised his role as JD in the UK tour of Heathers The Musical in 2023, giving him the accolade of playing JD more than anyone else in the world!
